That's when my husband mentioned that years ago he purchased books from a website call THRIFTBOOKS, a sort of online used book store. We decided to each purchase some books from there to see how we like it.
I like that they offer several different conditions of the book at varying prices, for example, an acceptable condition book could be $3 where as a very good condition book would be $7.
When our local Barnes & Noble was going out of business we bought a lot of discounted books and I was pleased to find out I could finish the series with books from THRIFTBOOKS. I also ordered some Stephen King books for my fall reading. This is where my only complaint comes in.
I prefer hardcover books so when possible I click over to hardcover and buy that option, one of my Stephen King books arrived as a different book because they had it linked as a hardcover Stephen King when it wasn't. I only paid $3 for the book so I'll keep it, but I do have to repurchase that book.
Every time we shop for books in used book stores I always glance over at the children's section because I want our children to enjoy reading as much as my husband and I do. I was excited to see a book from my childhood was part of the "thrift deals" where the more books you buy the more you save. I was able to get the book in hardcover.
Overall we plan on ordering from THRIFT BOOKS again, I'll just have to be more careful with what I put in my cart to keep from them linking me to the wrong book. Happy book hunting!
